Water Photography Workshops
Get in the water, create something real.
This is the workshop that changes how you see light.
DiP workshops put you in the studio with a camera and a subject — and teach you how to work with water, not against it. You'll learn how light behaves below the surface, how to direct someone who's holding their breath, and how to capture the exact moment a body becomes weightless.
Small groups. Hands-on from the first session. Whether you're a portrait photographer curious about underwater work, or a hobbyist ready to take on something new. This is the workshop that changes how you see light.
Thanks so much, Hilda, for showing me the ropes to get comfy with my underwater housing in your beautiful pool studio. I really appreciated the knowledge you shared with me in a calm setting, which gave me the confidence to take my gear into the ocean and keep experimenting.

Overview:
DiP In. is a small, hands-on half-day workshop for photographers who have been curious about water photography but haven't known where to start.
We begin in my purpose-built underwater studio at Caves Beach — still, clear water, soft natural light, no tides, no surprises. Once you've found your feet below the surface, we cross the road and take it to the ocean.
Two completely different environments. Two completely different ways light behaves. One morning that will change the way you see both.
This is not a lecture. There are no slideshows. Just you, the water, and ten years of everything I know — shared in real time, in the places where it actually happens.
Who is this for?
If you've ever stood at the edge of the water with your camera and wondered — this is for you.
Portrait, lifestyle and wedding photographers wanting to expand creatively. Photographers at any level who want guided, hands-on experience in a supportive space. Anyone who has been saving underwater images for months wondering if they could make something like that.
You do not need prior water photography experience. You do not need your own gear — try my underwater camera housings on the day.
You just need curiosity and a willingness to get in.

— Ocean shoot at Caves Beach
— Use of underwater camera housings
